The bed, very comfortable :) The bathroom is spacious and clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Macau Travel to and from Hong Kong
We arrived in Macau at approximately 10.30 a.m. Customs clearance was smooth but the officer was pretty strict and looked at us a few times at least in a very unfriendly manner and made me very uncomfortable. I later heard on the news that some Hong Kongers were rejected entry to Macau for some reason, which maybe why the officers were looking at us with an unfriendly eye.
There is a Macau tourism office as you exit from the customs on the left. I went in to grab a few maps and brochures to plan my itinerary and then quickly ask for advise to go to the ferry terminal to catch the next ferry to Hong Kong.
Bus AP1 to Ferry Terminal
Ferry : Macau to Hong Kong
Turbo Jet
Economy Class Fare : MOP 142 per person (Macau - Hong Kong)
Schedule : 0700 - 2359 (departures every 15 minutes)
New World First Ferry
Economy Class Fare : MOP 140 per person (Macau - Hong Kong)
Schedule : 0700 - 2230 (departures approx every 30 minutes)
Note : Please checkout the websites of both services for the schedule and fare in case of changes.
For return from Hong Kong to Macau, we took New World First Ferry at the Hong Kong China Ferry Terminal. The Economy Class ticket costs lesser, at HKD 135.

Bus AP1 to Ferry Terminal
We had 5 person and thought it would be more convenient to grab a cab but this gentlemen told me I can take bus AP1 from the Airport, which only cost MOP 4.20 per person (or HKD 4.20). Great! I saved a few bucks!
The Macau International Airport is located on Taipa Island, so the bus traveled across a bridge and in about 15 minutes, we were at the Ferry Terminal.

We took the Turbo Jet, not knowing that it heads to Shun Tak Centre, Sheung Wan. I thought it heads to the Hong Kong China Ferry Terminal (中國客運碼頭 or 中港碼頭) in Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon, which is where I wanted to go, to check in our hotels before going around.

Flights to Macau
When I booked the air tickets, Air Asia has not launched its flight direct from Penang to Macau. Therefore, I flew in from KL. Now Penangnites can fly to Macau direct, which in fact also serve as a great way to go to Hong Kong and China, especially when Air Asia throws great offer or free tickets and you cannot get a free ticket to Hong Kong, then grab one to Macau. You're going to visit Macau anyway.
From 1st March 2009, Air Asia flies four times a week Penang - Macau direct.

Macau a.k.a Macao
My first time in Macau was a one-day trip back in September 2005 when I visited Hong Kong.
This year I flew into Macau from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia by Air Asia, took a ferry to go to Hong Kong straight and decided to return to Macau for 2 days before I fly back to Malaysia through the Macau International Airport.
Macau is a truely East meet West place. It is also the first and the last European colony in China. Not only the building, the people, everything that is still in the everyday life, you can see an amazing blend of European and Chinese culture.
